Two new online short courses on infection prevention and control
NHS Education for Scotland has just launched two new online short courses.
- Urinary Catheterisation Management, Care and Prevention of Infection
- Presentations of Infection in the Older Person
Not only is early recognition of the signs and symptoms of infection a vital part of caring for older people, but urinary tract infections are the most common infections in care homes for older people.Social Care and
Social Work Improvement Scotland took part in developing these online courses. Each course lasts about 1-2 hours to complete and provides links to key websites and publications and also printable records of learning.
