The Care Inspectorate has today published a report on Criminal Justice Social Work Serious Incident Reviews.

Serious Incident Reviews are carried out by local authority criminal justice social work services to make sure lessons are learned if things go wrong when an offender is on licence or statutory supervision such as a community payback order.

Scotland’s Coalition for Play and Learning Outdoors

On 22 October 2018, Scotland’s Coalition for Play and Learning Outdoors launched their position statement at Chester’s Nursery in Drumchapel.

The statement was developed by Inspiring Scotland and other key partners including the Care Inspectorate. The position statement represents a commitment from all organisations involved to work together to embed play and learning for children in Scotland as a key part of their daily life. This also supports other aspects of the Care Inspectorates commitment to support that children grow up healthy and active and compliments our approach to ensure children have the best play and learning experiences possible.
