Independent Care Review statement


The Independent Care Review’s aim is to identify and deliver lasting change in Scotland’s ‘care system and leave a legacy that will transform the wellbeing of infants, children and young people.

They have published a statement on what's next for the care review including information about a new helpline, set up with Health in Mind, to  provide a dedicated confidential telephone counselling service to anyone involved who wishes to talk, and this will continue to be available until 31 May 2020.

TURAS Learn


As we continue to respond to the unprecedented challenge of coronavirus COVID–19, we want to ensure our staff and the sector feel supported to stay connected, keep up to date with knowledge and can continue to access learning resources.

You may have already received communication around many resources that are available during this current situation, however we would like to make you aware of the Turas learning platform.

Turas Learn is NHS Education for Scotland's platform for online learning.  It provides health and social care staff with access to free education and induction resources. The website will be regularly reviewed and updated in line with current advice and as new material becomes available.

Who Cares? Scotland offering additional support for care experienced people


Who Cares? Scotland is offering additional support to care experienced people during the coronavirus Covid-19 emergency.  

This includes a new information and advice service, continuing to provide advocacy and helping to create online spaces for care experienced people to connect.
