Our Family Firm group continues to make great progress towards our with commitments within the Children’s rights, care experience and corporate parenting plan.

The group’s focus is to create a flexible and supportive development and employment opportunities for care experienced young people. 

Our plan for this year is to:  

  • Apprenticeship opportunities: We will explore and engage with various apprenticeship programs (foundation, modern, and graduate) specifically ringfenced for care experienced young people.
  • Supportive staff group: We will continue to establish a care experienced staff group to provide a safe, trauma-informed space.
  • Learning and development: Identify and promote relevant learning opportunities and resources to support the growth of care experienced individuals.
  • Collaborative efforts: Work with external partners and enhance our communications to support care experienced applicants and employees.
  • Data-driven improvement: Maintain accurate data to reflect our efforts in attracting, recruiting, and valuing care experienced people, which will help us evaluate and improve our initiatives.
