From week commencing 21 October 2024, we are changing the process of how we collect feedback from care service providers following inspections.

Previously, feedback from providers was gathered through Microsoft Forms. We are now introducing a more streamlined process that links feedback to individual inspections.

After we issue each final inspection report, providers will receive an email giving them access to our new Inspection Satisfaction Questionnaire (ISQ) platform. They will be given:

• A link to the ISQ platform
• An inspection report document ID
• A 4-digit PIN

To complete the survey, providers will need to enter both the document ID and the PIN.

To help us improve the delivery of care services in Scotland, please continue offering feedback using this new platform.

Please ensure that this information is only shared with relevant staff in the service and not with individuals receiving care, their families, or those not directly involved in the delivery of the care service.

The current MS Forms will remain active until 18 November 2024, allowing us to continue capturing feedback from services on inspections completed before the new platform is launched.

The following text is an example of the email providers and care services will receive.

The report of the recent inspection, which was completed by the Care Inspectorate has now been finalised.

This can be viewed via the [Submitted] tab in the eForms system and on the Care Inspectorate's website.

The Care Inspectorate has a policy of open access to inspection reports and the report will be made available to the public through our website and Care Inspectorate's offices. You should also make the report available to service users, relatives of service users and staff members by displaying it in a prominent place and making it accessible to anyone with a legitimate interest in the services you provide.

If this inspection report contains any areas for improvement or requirements, which we have made during the inspection, you must submit an action plan, identifying the actions to be taken, the person responsible for those actions and the timescales for the developments or improvements to be implemented. Where an action plan is required, this will appear under the [Current] tab in your eForms system. The action plan should be returned by 6th September 2024, unless your inspector has advised you otherwise.

Please note that it is the responsibility of the service provider to ensure that an action plan (where requested) is completed and returned to us. Failure to submit a completed action plan (where requested) may result in re-evaluation.

You should also note that requirements relate to statutory obligations under the Public Services Reform (Scotland) Act 2010 and that the Care Inspectorate may consider enforcement action on any requirements which are not met within a reasonable period of time.

Thank you for your cooperation. Should you require any further information on the inspection process, please do not hesitate to contact your Inspector.
