Do you want to develop services for young people aged 16+ who are looked after and accommodated and who are approaching adulthood?
Today we have published guidance for current and prospective care service providers and developers/commissioners of services. This supports wider guidance also published today by CELCIS/LACSIG called 'Staying Put'. We believe that developing interdependence and networks of support for young people is critical to continuing the GIRFEC agenda into adulthood. In our role as a corporate parent, we are committed to actively taking part in developing and reporting on improved outcomes for young people who have been looked after. We will work in partnership with providers and local authorities to ensure the Staying Put guidance and the principles underpinning it are implemented. We support registration of innovative services within the parameters of our legislative framework.
