A nursery in Stirling has been given top marks by inspectors for the second inspection in a row.

Inspectors from the Care Inspectorate graded Arnprior Nursery as “excellent” across all areas inspected.

In their most recent inspection inspectors noted: “The service holds an important place within the local community.

“It is a service that is valued and required within Stirling Council.

“We found that the Head of Nursery, Depute Head of Nursery, Senior Early Childhood Educator and staff worked exceptionally hard to offer children and their families a quality provision.

“Their inclusive approach ensures that parents, children and other professionals play an active part in continually developing the service.”

A spokesperson for the Care Inspectorate said: “Every child in Scotland has the right to good quality, compassionate care which meets their needs and respects their rights.

“The majority of nurseries in Scotland perform well, and where we encounter excellence, it is vital we share good practice so that all care services in Scotland continue to improve and reach the high standards we expect.

“There is no room for complacency, however, and we will continue to work with this service to ensure high standards are maintained.

“Anyone with a concern about a service can contact our helpline on 0345 600 9527, anonymously if needed, and all information given to us helps us plan our inspections."
